Minister: Rev. Mary Jo Patterson

Harriston, Ont. native Mary Jo Patterson became St. James' minister, July 1, 2004. She previously served as minister at Mt. Zion United at Renton, youth leader/growth facilitator at First Pilgrim United, Hamilton, and pulpit supply at Tapleytown. Rev. Patterson is available for appointments Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday mornings. If you would like an appointment, or know someone needing a visit, call the church office at 519-428-2611, speak to her after church, or e-mail her. She visits members of the congregation at home, in hospital and in nursing homes during the afternoon.

Pam joined the ministry staff at St. James on Sept 1, 2007 and commutes from Hamilton to work with us 20 hours a week until January 2009 — generally Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. She has a BA in communications, a diploma in Diaconal Ministries, and years of experience in community outreach work, church administration, and faith group facilitation. Pam's ministry focus at St. James is both (a) outreach and justice work within the congregation and in the community; and (b) faith formation with individuals and small groups of all ages.

Musical Director: Kelly Goldsmith

Simcoe-born Kelly Goldsmith, ARCT, has been leading and accompanying ballet classes and local choirs such as Vittoria Community Choir and her own I Voci (The Voices) community choir for years. She studied piano and organ with former St. James musical director Angus Macleod and now teaches piano locally. Kelly assumed her position in September 2001.
